Little collected. Nothing sold.
Effective September 1, 2026
1. The short version
Advance Preview has no user accounts, no sign-up forms, no advertising trackers, and no third-party analytics. We collect the minimum needed to run a public bidding board: the listing content you choose to publish, payment records, one anonymous first-party cookie, and standard infrastructure logs. We do not sell or share personal data for advertising.
2. Listing data is public by design
Everything you submit for a listing — URL, title, pitch, category, cover image, waitlist destination — is published on the board, on the listing’s permanent public page, in activity feeds, and in generated preview images. Bid amounts, rank changes, and ship events are part of that public record. Do not include personal information you don’t want published.
One consequence worth knowing: cover images may be hosted on the listing owner’s own servers. When your browser loads a board page it fetches those images directly, which discloses your IP address and browser details to whoever hosts them — the same way images work on any website. Founder-uploaded covers stored with us are served from our own infrastructure instead.
3. Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe-hosted pages; we never see or store card numbers. Stripe shares with us the payment amount, a session identifier, and payment status — Stripe’s own privacy policy governs what Stripe collects. USDC payments settle on public blockchains (Base, Solana): your wallet address and the transaction are publicly visible on-chain by the nature of those networks, and we store the transaction hash as the payment receipt. We keep payment records (amounts, receipts, timestamps) as part of the board’s ledger and for accounting.
4. The one cookie
We set a single first-party cookie (ap_vid): a random identifier used only to count unique visitors once instead of on every page load. It is HttpOnly, expires after a year, contains no personal information, and is not used to profile you or shared with anyone. There are no third-party cookies. The site also sends a no-referrer policy so your browsing here isn’t leaked to sites you click through to.
5. Founder data
Founders receive a manage link containing a bearer token; we store the token to authenticate edits. We do not collect founder names or emails — if you email us (for example to recover a manage link), we use your message solely to handle that request. Uploaded cover images are stored on Cloudflare R2 and served publicly as part of the listing.
6. Infrastructure and logs
The Service runs on Cloudflare Workers. Like virtually all web infrastructure, requests generate short-lived operational logs (IP-derived request metadata, error traces) used for security, abuse prevention, and debugging — not for profiling. Cloudflare processes traffic as our infrastructure provider under its own policies.
7. Retention and removal
The board is a permanent public record: listings and their history are retained indefinitely, and payment records are retained for accounting. Listings that violate the rules are hidden from public view. For removal requests involving personal data or infringing content, contact us — we will hide the affected listing content where warranted, though payment ledger entries and on-chain transactions cannot be erased.
8. Your rights and contact
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data. Given how little we hold, most requests reduce to editing or hiding listing content — write to contact@advancepreview.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may update this policy; the effective date above changes when we do.
